“People who are never challenged by life don’t have the opportunity to learn how to overcome adversity, which enables them to develop coping strategies, identify who the important members of their social network are, and feel competent after they make it through,”.
Roxane Cohen Silver, PhD, the University of California, Irvine
Researchers have found that a lack of sleep diminishes your attention and concentration, thereby affecting your problem solving abilities. Without adequate rest, you cannot learn well. It also keeps you from “consolidating” memories, so you cannot remember what you learned from day to day.
A 2011 Roehampton University study found that early risers had the fewest signs of depression and anxiety when compared to those who slept in.
Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
Columbia University studies of people with winter and chronic depression show that negative ion generators relieve depression as much as antidepressants.
Tim Tebow reminds us to BELIEVE!
Tim Tebow once again showed great heroics in the Broncos last playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers throwing an 80 yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas to end the game in overtime. After the play, Tebow could be seen on bended knee thanking the Lord. In the stands, posters could be seen with the words: BELIEVE, BELIEVE, BELIEVE, referring to comments made by Tebow after a comeback win in a previous game, in which he attributed the win to his faith in God and the belief he has in himself and his teammates, and the belief they have in him. Watch the following clip:
Tim Tebow has found ways to witness, how about you? Witness in a whole new way with the John 20:31 Believe Witness Band.
